Rubber Stamping

My sister in law, Michelle and I got together tonight and made some greeting cards.

This is a hobby that I've done for about 5 years and really when we moved to Nevada had no one to stamp with. So I put it all aside until I really had to make a card for someone. I'm so glad that she's willing to put up with my spazness(if that's even a word) about my stamps and supplies, and stamp with me. We have a lot of fun!!! We've even got a friend of ours to stamp with us even though she made fun of us in the begining. I've put a pictures of a few cards that I made tonight.

31. I love looking out my bedroom window and seeing the Mountains.


32. My 10 year high school reunion was a few weeks ago; I didn't go...

48. I have to straighten my sheets before I get into bed at night. Ira hates it... But Drake knows he can't jump up until I tell him it's ok.

The Quilt

A long long long time ago my best est friend in the whole world and I decided to make a quilt... We got all of our "scrap" fabric together rummaged through our mom's old fabric and made two (one for her and one for me) CRAZY quilts!!! Mine was WILD!!!! For the boarders I used glow in the dark fabric (ant's crawling around in their tunnels) and for the back was a white back ground and teeth all over it. Well, Ira says to me a few months and when I say months I really mean 4 years ago... that it was time to retire the quilt. We've used this quilt so much that it's absolutely FALLING apart!!! This has been the PERFECT movie quilt to cuddle up in. Also of course when I'm sick it's the first quilt I reach for. We both took them to girls camp for the many years we attended that. But alas... it REALLY is time to retire the quilt...I think I've taken it apart and put it back together at least 3 or 4 times. Well here's a picture of the beloved quilt and all it's glory!!!!

I'm sad and bored!!!! My husband left me for 10 WHOLE days!!!! He's visiting His Brother and family in Utah this week and then Next week he's helping his brother at a Rodeo in Idaho! What am I going to do with myself!!!

I have started going through closets getting rid of things that he'll NEVER know is gone. :D (I better becareful what I say, because he'll read this later.. oops!!!

100 Things about me...

My sister thinks that if I have enough time to change my background I have enough time to blog... I guess I do. Both of my sisters have made lists of 100 things about them, so I thought I'd do one about me. I'm guessing most of you know most or at least one thing on the list. I won't be posting it all at once but a little at a time. Here goes:

1. I was born in Elkhart, IN
2. I'm number 6 of 6 children
3. I have 2 sisters and 3 brothers
4. I've been married for 4 years
5. I've lived in NV for (almost) 2 years
6. I have grey hair, not all but some. (I color it)
7. I love watching Family Guy (sssshhhh, don't tell anyone)
8. I have two dogs, Drake and Remington
9. I'm the Manager at the Dayton Valley Branch Library
10. I love playing cards.. right now it's Hand and Foot and 10 and 2
11. I love cooking/baking. I LOVE trying new recipes
12. My favorite part of Sunday is singing time in Primary
13. I (and Ira) want only one child to be named either Ocea or Olivia (Ocea after Ira's great grandma)
14. All of the girls in my family married guys that have birthdays on they same day of the the month. (IE: Ira and I both have birthday's the the 25th mine September and his in June)

16. After work, I love to come home and play my Nintendo WII Mostly Mario Kart
