OVER 1000 VISITORS!!!!!

Fire Season

We've had a few fires already this year. I just checked the news. and it said that Northern California has over 800 fires. I woke up this morning, looked out my window and couldn't see the mountains. It is so smoky here! They are telling everyone to stay inside. EKK!!!!!

Every Patron that has walked in the Library this morning has commented about the air... oh my heck this is going to get OLD!!! FAST!!!

Ira and I took the quads up the mountain behind our house yesterday. I had forgotten that we had a fire up there just a few months ago. It was bad!!! I couldn't believe how much it spread.

I Broke the Curse of the Red Helmet

Ira and I took the quad's out yesterday for a litle drive!! We had such a great time!!!!!

Ira is taking them off the trailer... (I was to scared to drive mine off...)

We went clear to the top of the mountain, About 7700 ft. and then we took a hike about 1.5 miles down a small valley to Hobart Reservoir (that was a KILLER!!!!)

Weekend...

WAHOO!!!!! It's FRIDAY!!!! This is the first time I've EVER been glad it's a Friday, Why??? BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE TO WORK SATURDAYS ANYMORE!!!!!!!!!!


As far as the new job... I LOVE it. My staff are great! and the community has just welcomed me with open arms. (small town, they ALL use the library) I've had several patrons bring in the newspaper clippings saying that I am the new branch manager.

Railroad Tracks

Many of you know that I grew up in Indiana (home of the railroad). Everywhere you went you HAD to cross RR tracks. There were times that 2 or 3 trains would drive by and you would be STUCK there, waiting. Well, in Nevada we have NO railroad tracks (I take that back I THINK there is one in Reno that you go over, if your on that side of town, eeeeewwww we don't go to that side of town. Well yesterday I drove to Yerington (little town way out in the boondocks) I had to go there to fill out all my paperwork for my NEW JOB!!!!!! OK OK on to the real reason of the blog. On the way there I had to drive over TWO count them TWO RR tracks!!! On the way home I actually had to stop and WAIT on a train!!! I was amazed!!!!!!!
