New Boat

If you all remember a few posts ago, I mentioned how Ira needed a new boat... Well thats all it took he begain looking. It only took him a few weeks to find the one he wanted... Here it our new boat!

Is it ugly? YES

Does it need alot of work? YES

BUT, It's a boat, and it was cheap and we will have alot of fun fixing it up and playing out on the water this summer!!!

Anyone up for tubing this summer???

Valentines/Anniversary

I'll start off with Valentines:
Ira and I spent the entire day together! We had a wonderful day. He did spend sometime in the garage working on a project. (silly projects, they always get in the way) In the afternoon we went shopping, and walked around Cabela's (where else?) He then took me to dinner, we went to a local casino (hello we live in Nevada) and ate at a buffet It's not just any buffet, it happens to be the don't eat all day gorge yourself best buffet. (At least to us) We then went home and made ice cream sundae's and watched "In Her Shoes", one of my most favorite movies.

And our 5th year wedding anniversary:

Now, most of you know that our anniversary is 1 week after valentines day. We normally mix the two in one. Ira spent the morning of our anniversary fishing with a buddy. (not really a big deal to me, I would have rather gone away for the weekend, but oh well.) When he got home, he had Yellow Roses in tow (my favorite) and we both got all gussied up and went out to dinner then of course went shopping for things we don't really need.

Both days were wonderful, and I'm very grateful that I have Ira in my life!

I LOVE YOU HONEY!!!!

Most of you know our story.... but I love telling it so, this is us....

My best friend Ruth (Miller to most of you) was getting married and asked me to be her maid of honor. I of course said yes. Now you all have to understand at the time I was living in Utah and just ended a VERY serious relationship, and in the process of moving back to Indiana. She asked me March and the wedding was in October. So off I went back to Indiana not thinking anything of it just happy to get back home.

August comes around and I'm talking to Ruth about wedding plans and some guys asks her who she's talking to and say let me say hi, So not knowing who this is we talk forever (I think almost an hour) so Ruth gets back on the phone and says that that was her soon to be BIL.

October comes, my dad was diagnosed with lung cancer and talks to me about not going to the wedding. A. He didn't want me drive across the country by myself. B. He wanted all of us kids to be close, he wanted to spend as much time with us as he could. My mom tells him that she thinks I need to go because I'm going to meet someone while I'm out there.

I tell her NOWAY, I'M DONE WITH GUYS RIGHT NOW!!!!

I then drive across the country to Ruth and Derek's wedding. We are sitting at her parents house playing games and in walks IRA! WOW, my mouth drops, and I thought to myself, that's IRA. One look at him and I was done for, I knew that we were going to get married.

(DANG IT MOM WAS RIGHT, I HATE SAYING THAT)

Ira and I hit it off, We spent the entire weekend together. I had to leave for home on Sunday, and got a REALLY late start because it took us 3 hours to say goodbye! We talked all the way home 30 hours on the phone. When I pulled into our driveway, my mom meets me at the door and says "Who's Ira? He called to see if you got home ok." That next week Ira went shopping for my engagement ring. He flew to Indiana for Thanksgiving and purposed to me (3 weeks after we met.)

He moved to Indiana at the end of December and we started planning for our wedding.

We were married Feb. 21st 2004.

The next year Ira and I were sealed in the Chicago Temple for time and all eternity.

I love this man!

Glasses

Here they are!!! I've only been waiting for them for 3 weeks! I FINALLY got my new glasses!

For the past year I've been wearing these really OLD contacts.

(yeah, my eyes hurt, I should have listened to my husband...sssshhhh don't tell him I said that.)

Well, because of a job change, and some other things, I've put it off.
Today, I FINALLY got them. Tell me what you think
(I even plucked my eyebrows for this picture. Are they even?)

(bad picture I know...I took it with my phone)

Fishing

A few weeks ago, Ira and I and my FIL went fishing. Now I have to tell you, that Ira has a 14ft. Jon boat. I THOUGHT his boat was just fine for his weekend fishing trips.
But after going out with him and seeing this picture....

It's TIME for a new boat!!!!! Ira is looking EVERYDAY for the best deal!!!!

We had a lot of fun on Pyramid Lake, just north of Reno.

The water was great, the weather was COLD

I caught the BIGGEST fish of all three of us....

Here's my fish, after this picture the fish wiggled and I FREAKED out. Ira just laughed and rolled his eyes. Through out the day I caught 3 more, one got away when it was right at the boat (because I didn't "listen" to Ira, WHATEVER) and the others were "keepers"

We had a great day, I did however tell Ira that I'm done going out with him until the weather gets a little warmer.

Clean House

I am a HUGE fan of the Show Clean House With my favorite DIVA Niecy Nash.

Visit the Clean House website HERE

I wonder how in the WORLD these people let their homes get THAT bad.

I know I've blogged about this before....

I've spent all day CLEANING and ORGANIZING my house.
My SIL every time I tell her I've spent the day cleaning my house; she always asks what do I have to possibly clean??

Well...

Living room:

clothes everywhere clean clothes in a laundry basket that just needed put away, dirty socks (my darling husband doesn't know how to put them in the basket in the closet) SHOES EVERYWHERE, and of course other odds and ends that I just haven't put away.

Kitchen:

dirty dishes, I don't think we had a clean dish in the house, and some laundry
(our washer and dryer are in a closet in the kitchen)

Our Bedroom:

I think this was cleanist room in the house, all our clothes were in the living room and kitchen. All I had to do in here was make our bed and dust.

I swept and mopped all of the floors washed the windows clean our closets vacuumed corners and got rid of all the dust bunnies.

For me it feels so good to have a clean home, it makes me in a better mood, (which makes my husband happy) and I don't have to worry if someone just happens to drop by. Now I will tell you that on most days if you come to my house, it is clean! I'm not like one of those people you'll find on Clean House. Those people really make me CRAZY.

For the sake of embarrassment I am not posting before pictures just after
Our CLEAN kitchen

Living room and Dining room area. I even dusted the TV

Our Guest bathroom

And our Bedroom yes, the Bed takes up MOST of the room.
