A long long long time ago my best est friend in the whole world and I decided to make a quilt... We got all of our "scrap" fabric together rummaged through our mom's old fabric and made two (one for her and one for me) CRAZY quilts!!! Mine was WILD!!!! For the boarders I used glow in the dark fabric (ant's crawling around in their tunnels) and for the back was a white back ground and teeth all over it. Well, Ira says to me a few months and when I say months I really mean 4 years ago... that it was time to retire the quilt. We've used this quilt so much that it's absolutely FALLING apart!!! This has been the PERFECT movie quilt to cuddle up in. Also of course when I'm sick it's the first quilt I reach for. We both took them to girls camp for the many years we attended that. But alas... it REALLY is time to retire the quilt...I think I've taken it apart and put it back together at least 3 or 4 times. Well here's a picture of the beloved quilt and all it's glory!!!!

I love that quilt! You must save it for future generations. I think it will be talked about in camp history for years.
sorry about the quilt. I have a couple of old quilts that I need to retire as well.
That DOES look like a well-loved quilt. What a great activity to do with a friend, too. Making a new one sounds like a fun project while you're home alone.
NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! don't get rid of the quilt! Ira has no room to tell you to get rid of something...anything for that matter! He's a packrat of all packrats!! So keep it!! :)
After I posted this.. I thought to my self... I said Said self... I think I'll hang on to it, I might even Take it apart and put it back together as a baby quilt for someday when we have a child.
What a great memory to have that quilt. Don't get rid of it!!! I love the wild colors and the randomness of it!

Don't you dare get rid of that quilt!!! !!! !!! All the batting in mine is in one clump LOL. Does the border still glow in the dark? Those quilts are awesome and I love looking at the pieces that came from you and it's hard not to see my quilt and think of you (no, I'm not gay, just cheesy)so if you get rid of yours I'll be very very very sad. PS. Where's that baby quilt you were making for Seth, then Maybe???=) Love ya! Jess
