Railroad Tracks

Many of you know that I grew up in Indiana (home of the railroad). Everywhere you went you HAD to cross RR tracks. There were times that 2 or 3 trains would drive by and you would be STUCK there, waiting. Well, in Nevada we have NO railroad tracks (I take that back I THINK there is one in Reno that you go over, if your on that side of town, eeeeewwww we don't go to that side of town. Well yesterday I drove to Yerington (little town way out in the boondocks) I had to go there to fill out all my paperwork for my NEW JOB!!!!!! OK OK on to the real reason of the blog. On the way there I had to drive over TWO count them TWO RR tracks!!! On the way home I actually had to stop and WAIT on a train!!! I was amazed!!!!!!!

Poor thing! 2 entire RR Tracks? and you survived to tell about it??? jk. we live near the train station. The best time ever is on a hot summer night, when it's too humid for the evap cooler to work, and you open your windows and hope for a breeze, and a train comes barreling down the tracks blaring it's horn. You wake from a dead sleep, drenched in sweat, heart pounding 200 bpm, and you think the train is in the middle of your house. Now, those are fun times. lol.

anyway, sure makes you grateful for the little things, huh???

Ok, I waited on two trains just to get home from work. I have to cross the same tracks two times. I know that they sit and wait until they know I'm coming. Well thats Indiana for ya.
