Great News!!!

This afternoon (about 10 min ago) I was offered a job as the Manger of the Dayton Valley Branch Library, it's apart of the Lyon County Library System. I start On June 9th. above is a picture of the Library I'll be working at. This library is litterly down the street from where I live. If I choose too I can walk or ride my bike to work.

Unfortunatly I'll be leaving the Carson City Library. I've made some great friends there. and will miss them!

The Carnival is in town this weekend. This carnival is so small, but it's fun to see everyone out and about. Ira and his brother Tony have a booth set up to sell Hot Dogs, Chips, and other TONS of stuff!!!! The best thing about the carnival is someone is finally selling Elephant ears!!!! It's about time!

Cook Books

I thought I was done with unpacking my kitchen. Well I found 3 more boxes! And they are all cookbooks. I'm running out of room. I guess I'll have to go thru them and toss the ones I don't use. It's going be hard! I love cookbooks!

Dad...

So this morning I'm sitting at work, the janitor is vacuuming and cleaning up in the check in room, Well all of a sudden I hear, "slowly I turn, step by step..." This is something my dad said all the time! Also, Ira and I were cooking dinner the other night. and he breaks out in song... "Nobody knows.. the trouble I've seen, nobody knows my sorrow..." now if you knew my dad at all, he ALWAYS sung this! How ironic...

Back from Womans Conference

We had a great time this year at Women's Conference!!!!! The Best part about the conference, is that we had a surprise speaker! President Monson Spoke to us at the closing of the conference! It was such a great experience to listen to him. Of course when we walked in the room we all stood, and sang "We thank thee, oh god for a Prophet" His opening Line was, " I was sitting there seeing all these women thinking how many Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwiches were being prepared for Dinner tonight." We are talking about 20, 000 + women sitting in the Marriott Center. When He left, He waved at us all and gave us a big thumbs up! We also attend some classes about searching the scriptures and anger management. and A few others. I'm hoping next year to get my mom and Sisters to attend. You get so much out of the conference; spiritual and educational! I was also able to spend time with my VERY best friend and her family. Over all we had a great week, Shopping and Eating, and Eating, and Shopping. and of course spending time together.
